TALKING WITH BOB ABOUT MEETING JEANETTE
I finished the morning shift and drove home. I went out to see the space craft in garage and all was "normal". I wanted a couple of Orange trees and went to La Crescenta Nursery and bought two plus several night blooming jasmines. I spent the rest of the morning planting those and drove back to Keppel to cross the kids back home. Jeanette did not cross and I began to manufacture all sorts of reasons, none of which I liked. Any way, I stowed my folding chair in car and went home. When Bob threw my paper, I told him about Jeanette and he wanted to talk when he was through with his papers. He came in and I told him that I had talked to her and she was very cute and polite and that she said you were a nice boy and she liked that. He told me that he had dreamed about her the night before. I suggested he call her on phone and visit. He told me he was too scared to do that. "Why" I asked. "She might hurt me..maybe she does not like me anymore...maybe she has a boyfriend....I don't want to hear it." I counseled him on wooing and he made fun of the word. I told him that she was beyond her years and probably didn't like little tough punk boys. He took offense at that and went on and on. Then, he, said.."I am still crazy about her...teach me how to woo" (to be continued)
